Kiev Game Studio Frag Lab Supports the Military.

Volunteers by Fate: Kyiv game studio Frag Lab is aiding the military. The Kyiv-based game studio Frag Lab, which had planned to conduct closed beta testing and then an official presentation of its MMO shooter Shatterline just before the war, is now engaged in volunteering, helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the Territorial Defense Forces (TDF) acquire modern equipment.

This transformation happened almost by chance. Someone asked for a few thermal imagers in Chernihiv, and Frag Lab started raising funds… and in a day, they collected 700,000 UAH. They added a little more to the sum and made their first shipment of 67 thermal imagers for 82,000 euros in Lithuania. The second shipment a week later included 116 thermal imagers. There were also drones, tactical gear, and various items for the soldiers.

Frag Lab even redesigned the main page of its website, which now contains details of accounts where funds can be donated for the army’s needs.

A very commendable initiative, Frag Lab! As for the games… after victory, we will definitely play Shatterline.

UPDATE: As the editorial team has learned, Frag Lab plans to resume development of Shatterline shortly. After resolving certain technical issues, all studio employees with internet access who are not involved with the AFU, TDF, or volunteer activities will return to work. Frag Lab did not evacuate its employees abroad, and only those who had a legal right to do so left Ukraine.
