Nearly a quarter of digital PC games have never been launched – Ultra surveyed 2,000 US and UK pc-boys

  • 🟠 Those surveyed regularly run 44% of the games in their digital libraries, while 24% of them have never turned on a game;
  • 🟠In-game content was purchased by 68% of respondents, with 26% wanting to purchase limited editions or exclusive items;
  • 🟠58% of respondents would sell digital versions of their games if they could;
  • 🟠64% of people surveyed admitted they would buy more AAA titles at full price, but only if they could sell them later;
  • 🟠75% buy indie games, with 33% liking the low price of indie games. Other reasons for buying indie games include creativity (40%) and a desire to try something new (39%);
  • 🟠75% think AAA games are too expensive. 87% said that discounts and sales play an important role in their purchase decision, only 36% buy games at full price;
  • 🟠The most popular store remains Steam. 35% said they would like to have a “single profile” that could unify “all games, programs and sites.”
