New Design for Sony’s PlayStation VR2 Headset.

Sony recently shared more details about the upcoming PlayStation VR2 virtual reality headset. The official announcement for the VR headset was made earlier this year. The PS VR2 headset will have a “spherical” design similar to the PS VR2 Sense controllers and will feature a design consistent with the PlayStation console. It will be slightly lighter, despite the addition of a new haptic feedback motor, and thinner than its predecessor. Additionally, the headset will offer more customization options for the positioning of the lenses.

The PlayStation VR2 will also include a new ventilation system to prevent lens fogging. Judging from the available illustrations, the headset will connect to the console via a single cable, and the controllers will be wireless.

Sony had previously revealed the technical specifications of the new headset, which include OLED displays with a resolution of 2000×2040 pixels per eye, a 110-degree field of view, a refresh rate of either 90Hz or 120Hz, and features like eye-tracking.

Unfortunately, Sony has not yet provided information about the price and release date for the PlayStation VR2.
