The very first beta client 1.10.0.3 was released in 2019 (January 30). The official release on Android devices took place on March 19, 2019.

New Features in Minecraft 1.10.0

Among other things, the programmers who worked on the new version of Minecraft 1.10.0, almost completely reworked animation, to speed up the gameplay and reduce the number of known bugs. Already existing elements and mobs also underwent a lot of changes. And the scripts have been compressed to make them faster and more stable.
