Who’s buying up stolen wagons in the Red Dead Redemption 2 game?

In the game Red Dead Redemption 2, stolen wagons can be sold to merchants known as «Fences». They are the only businesses that will buy goods you’ve found while looting. However, to be able to use any fence, you first have to complete the mission «The Spines of America» in Chapter 2.

Specialized fences, which buy stolen horses or wagons, become accessible only after you reach certain progress milestones in the game’s main story.

The first fence you’re likely to find is located on the southwest edge of Emerald Ranch, on the backside of a large barn. This is the only fence that will pay you for turning in stolen stagecoaches and carriages. The same time that you unlock the standard fence at Emerald Ranch, you will also unlock the ability to trade in stolen carriages; simply ride them up to the barn doors to engage the wagon fence.

There are also other fences in the game, located at Van Horn Trading Post, Rhodes, and Saint Denis.
