If you’ve been living under a rock, you might have missed this news. We are just two weeks away from the release of the indie game God of War Ragnarok.
As we rapidly approach the launch, the marketing is getting more and more active. Recently, new gameplay trailers and graphical settings have made headlines.
The new launch trailer just showed the stakes of Kratos and Atreus’ new Journey. It looks good, and even better to realize that the game is almost here.
In God of War Ragnarok, the stakes have never been higher.
You probably already know what’s happening in God of War Ragnarok. If not, look away and come back when you’ve finished the game.
To much disappointment, the launch trailer lasts only thirty seconds. In the short clip, viewers are shown a multitude of epic shots and monologues.
Atreus’ concern that the end of Fimbulwinter heralds the coming of Ragnarok, Kratos’ fiercely motivated and angry gods: say what you will, it’s there. In a way, it’s quite poetic.
Part of what made the first game so good was character development, especially Kratos’. The way he shared his wisdom with his son was great dynamics that the sequel will likely build upon.
The game also has a brief description of a massive creature that will challenge the father-son duo. It’s probably not going to end well for the beast, but that’s up to the players.
The major publications have gotten their hands on the game, and the first thing they did was praise the sequel. However, spoilers are also starting to emerge. Be careful what you click on, friends.
God of War Ragnarok releases on November 9 for PS4 and PS5.
