Based on the film trilogy “The Lord of the Rings,” LEGO® The Lord of the Rings follows the original storylines of the films “The Fellowship of the Ring,” “The Two Towers,” and “The Return of the King,” bringing players back to the epic events of the plot, reimagined with humor and the limitless variety of the LEGO game.
The hopes of destroying the ancient magical ring, which threatens all that is good, are placed on Frodo, who is forced to leave his peaceful home. But the ring wants to be found, and the Journey to Mount DOOM, the only place where it can be destroyed, will be full of dangers and infested with orcs and even worse.
To aid Frodo, a fellowship is formed: Aragorn, the ranger; Gandalf, the wizard; Legolas, the elf; Gimli, the dwarf; Boromir, the man of Gondor; and the hobbits Frodo, Sam, Merry, and Pippin. Players recreate the legend using LEGO mini-figures, exploring wonders, solving eternal riddles, and overcoming endless enemies in their quest to destroy the Ring.
