Endgame for Online Battles: EA Prepares a Farewell Marathon

Gamers, take note! The hour has come to bid farewell to the online realms of several iconic titles. Electronic Arts has announced the shutdown of servers for a selection of popular games. Here’s a list of those set to go offline this year:

  • Crysis 3 (PC, PS3, Xbox 360) — signing off on September 7th.
  • Restaurant Dash: Gordon Ramsey (iOS, Android) — final orders on October 30th.
  • Dead Space 2 and Dante’s Inferno (PC, PS3, Xbox 360, PSP) — the epic conclusion on December 8th.
  • The FIFA 18, 19, and 20 series (PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PS4) — the final whistle blows on November 6th.
  • FIFA 21 (Nintendo Switch, PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5) — the last match is also on November 6th.

Let’s not forget the multiplayer for Battlefield 1943 and Bad Company, which will also join the list of games going offline in December.

What Are We Losing?

The server shutdown means that multiplayer modes such as “Seasons”, “Co-op Seasons”, Ultimate Team, and “Pro Clubs” will no longer be available. But don’t despair! Solo modes, including quick matches and career, will remain available, allowing you to enjoy the games even without an online community.

While the servers are still up, take the chance for a few last online matches. Share your thoughts and stories in the comments – what moments will you remember forever? It’s time to say goodbye to the online era of some of your favorite games, but the memories will stay with us!
