Never Played The Witcher 3? Here’s What You Need to Know

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action-packed RPG set in a vast open world. Developed by CD Projekt Red and based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s fantasy novels, the game first debuted in 2015. Initially available on PC and consoles like PlayStation and Xbox, it later made its way to Nintendo Switch. This year, an updated version is set to launch for the next-gen consoles—PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S/X.

The narrative follows Geralt, the protagonist, on his quest to find his adopted daughter, Ciri. Along the way, he faces off against spectral riders and other mythical foes, including the titular “Wild Hunt.” One of the game’s standout features is its 36 different possible ENDINGS, ensuring that player choices significantly impact the storyline and gameplay. Once the main quest is completed, players can freely roam an expansive world that’s 30 times larger than in previous Witcher games.

Kudos to the developers for the save transfer feature in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, allowing players to encounter familiar faces and witness the outcomes of various character arcs based on decisions from earlier games in the series.

Additionally, CD Projekt Red released two major expansions for the game: “Hearts of Stone” and “Blood and Wine,” each offering a distinct narrative experience.
