RTX Remix from NVIDIA will make it easier to create remasters of old games: experiments by YouTuber EiermannTelevision

If you thought that time-consuming remasters were needed to improve the graphics of old games, then you were wrong! With the release of NVIDIA’s RTX Remix platform, adding realistic lighting to your projects has never been easier. Even YouTuber EiermannTelevision showed how he was able to improve the graphics of classic games like STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl and HALF-LIFE using this platform.

In his videos, you can see how simple experiments have led to a significant improvement in graphics and lighting in games. Even though the RTX Remix doesn’t work flawlessly yet, with shadows and textures sometimes missing, the results already speak for themselves.

In addition, EiermannTelevision did not use the release version of STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl, but alpha build 1114, which suggests that even non-final versions of games can be improved using RTX Remix.
