Warzone Mobile Officially Announced

Warzone’s second anniversary was marked in some way this time. There were a couple of congratulatory tweets, but what’s important is that they officially announced Warzone Mobile.

Yes, there have already been rumors about Verdansk appearing in COD Mobile, but now Activision has acknowledged it themselves with this message:

“Activision Mobile has put up new roles! Teams are focused on Live Operations and content expansion across CoD Mobile and Warzone.”

What we can already infer:

  • Although the game was announced through job listings, it was mentioned in vacancies as far back as 2020.
  • Verdansk will definitely be in the game, as shown in the first artwork.
  • Rebirth Island is likely to be included; multiple insiders have mentioned this.
  • There seems to be a mountainous and desert map – Urzikstan? What’s on the second artwork?
  • This is undoubtedly a completely separate game, not just an update for Mobile.

Questions:

  • When will it be released? There are many job listings to fill, but the game has been in development for a while, and it’s already been announced. I expect it to be released this year.
  • Are there really 2 full maps at launch? And with the desert map, could there be 3?
  • Will there be cross-progression with the main version? What about cross-play?

In short, we’re waiting for more information.
