Sea of Stars is a turn-based RPG game from indie developer Sabotage Studio. The story revolves around two children of the Solstice, Zale and Valere, who unite to defeat the vengeful creations of the Fleshmancer, an evil alchemist. They must combine the powers of the Moon and the Sun to perform the Eclipse Magic, the only way to fight this evil.
According to the publisher, players will have access to different types of movement in the game world, such as swimming, climbing rocks, walking on ledges, and traversing thin ropes. In the calmest part of the role-playing game, during rest in a campsite, the heroes can cook food, discuss their plans and goals, and tell each other stories. Between battles, the children of the Solstice will also have to upgrade their equipment and level up.
The soundtrack for the game will be created by Japanese composer Yasunori Mitsuda. This turn-based RPG is a prequel to the developer’s previous game, the platformer The Messenger, which received positive reviews from critics. Sea of Stars is planned to be released in 2022 on Windows (PC), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X platforms.
