The addition of SMS authentication has greatly frustrated cheaters in Warzone. Infinity Ward announced on Tuesday, May 12th, that all new PC players who want to play Warzone will need to verify their accounts using two-factor authentication. This will reduce the number of new accounts that cheaters can create after their account is banned for cheating, as they will need a new phone number to return to Warzone. Infinity Ward continues to take steps to address the issue of cheaters. In recent updates, players receive notifications that a player they reported has been banned.
