The much-anticipated game from Ukrainian developers GSC Game World, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2, finds itself amidst community criticism and constant postponements. The sequel’s release was initially slated for 2021, but the company has now pushed the originally announced timeline to December 2022.

On their Discord channel, some official representatives decided to address the ongoing rumors surrounding S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2. A developer using the handle Super_Prophet stated, “If we’re criticized for not having a plan, it doesn’t mean we should publish one. The same goes for the game’s storyline, technical reports, and so on.”

It’s not hard to guess that fans of the highly anticipated game were left disappointed by such a statement. The community’s main argument is a simple question: Why hasn’t the studio showcased actual gameplay yet if development is on track?
