S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Won’t Be Sold in Russia.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will not be sold in Russia – a deliberate decision by GSC Game World studio, despite the fact that there are many fans of the game in Russia and many pre-orders have been made.

Only digital editions for pre-orders will remain available, while other versions will not be accepted. This means that making a pre-order in Russia is impossible. All funds will be refunded to gamers at the stores where they made their pre-orders. Obtaining licensed keys or copies is not possible, so only torrents will be available in the Russian Federation.

In their social media, the developers published information that the game will not be available in Russia and disabled comments. They also mentioned that this is the last post from the authors.

Not too long ago, the game was renamed from “Heart of Chernobyl” to “Heart of Chornobyl”. They made this change because “Chernobyl” is spelled differently in transliteration from Ukrainian compared to Russian.
