S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Will Not Be Available in Russia. Developer’s Website and Social Media Banned.

On March 24, 2022, Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the developers GSC Game World by adding it to the list of prohibited websites. This action was taken due to perceived anti-Russian propaganda from the developers, although the developers themselves do not share this view.

Previously, the developers had stated that they would not release the game or sell it in Russia. Currently, the production of the game has been halted as the war in Kyiv continues, and the development company is relocating to the Czech Republic to continue working on the game. Originally, the game was scheduled for release on December 8, 2022, but it will not be released before 2023.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 will not be available in Russia, as the developers have refunded all pre-orders made by Russian citizens and have restricted this region from purchasing the game on Steam. As a result, gamers from Russia have started posting negative reviews about the previous installments of the series due to these actions by the developers.
