World of Tanks Update: Removal of Minsk and Kharkov Maps

On March 11, 2022, the developers of World of Tanks announced a new update that removed two popular maps, “Minsk and Kharkov,” from the game. This decision comes in light of the ongoing conflict in Ukraine. It’s still unclear whether the maps have been permanently removed or temporarily hidden.

The maps have been removed from Random Battles, Training Battles, as well as the “Topography” mode and tournament games. All game servers, including clan ones, will be unavailable from 6 a.m. to 6:45 a.m. on March 12.

It’s worth noting that the “Kharkov” map was introduced in patch 0.9.1 and was the game’s first historical location. It was subsequently removed for improvements and reintroduced in version 1.5.1.

The “Minsk” map in WoT was introduced in version 1.1 and remained until this recent update.
