HALF-LIFE 2: The Orange Box
The Orange Box is a highly anticipated new computer game from Valve, the developer company. The new version includes not only Half-Life 2: Episode Two. Valve once again delights its fans with new projects. The Orange Box also includes two additional games that are dynamic continuations of Half-Life 2.
The main characters, familiar to players from previous versions, are Dr. Freeman and his beautiful assistant Alyx, who continue their thrilling adventures. Fans of this game will also be delighted with the additional team shooting game, Team Fortress 2. Additionally, there is a unique puzzle arcade game called Portal.
Improved graphics, dynamic sequence of events, enhanced artificial intelligence – all of this is in the new The Orange Box. Unlike other similar computer games, Half-Life 2: Episode One does not require the installation of the original version.
Half-Life 2: Episode One
Previously known to players as Half-Life 2: Aftermath, Half-Life 2: Episode One becomes an epic continuation of the most famous computer game that has gained many fans. It offers players another episode in the life of City-17. Gordon Freeman, a character known from previous versions of the game, and his assistant and comrade Alyx urgently leave the dying city. The residents flee the destroyed city, hoping to find refuge elsewhere. Alyx and Gordon must help the rebels who have been fighting the indomitable forces of the Alliance for many years.
The dynamic HDR (High Dynamic Range) lighting system is a successful addition to the already vibrant special effects. This technology allowed the game to be upgraded with the additional game block Lost Coast. The transformed graphics system, meticulously detailed and developed, allows for a fully immersive experience.
Half-Life 2: Episode Two
The next part of Half-Life 2 is Half-Life 2: Episode Two, in which the familiar heroes – Dr. Freeman and his partner Alyx – set off on an adventure. After a devastating nuclear explosion in the Citadel, City 17 was completely destroyed, and it no longer made sense to stay there. Gordon and Alyx leave, while also carrying out an important mission.
The task is to deliver urgent, life-saving information to the scientists in the laboratory. However, they encounter resistance from the rebels, who are waging a constant bloody war against the forces of the Alliance. Cinematic quality becomes a distinguishing feature of this updated version of the computer game.
The realism of the environment and the presence effect allow players to feel like real participants in the war, experiencing it alongside the main characters. The advanced HDR technology is supported thanks to an improved version of the Source engine..
