Fortnite Launches “Rainbow” Event in Support of LGBTQ+

In the game Fortnite (battle royale), a new event has begun that fully supports LGBTQ+. The event is called Rainbow Royale and includes a variety of rainbow emotes and skins.

Game developers intentionally introduce such events and activities to promote tolerance and inclusivity towards different sexual orientations. However, Russian-speaking communities have not embraced this event.

Similar “actions” have taken place in many other games, and currently, it can be noted that in all projects by Riot Games, such as League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Legends of Runeterra.

Other studios have also shown their support for LGBTQ+. For example, in Call of Duty: Warzone, LGBTQ+ themed calling cards were added.

In games like Assassin’s Cred: Syndicate, Overwatch, Borderlands, Apex Legends, as well as in The Last of Us and The Last of Us: Part 2, LGBTQ+ characters were introduced from the outset.

The Rainbow Royale event in Fortnite by Epic Games will conclude on July 27th. Anyone interested could claim in-game items related to the event for free.
