Twistzz Points Out CS2’s Hitches Ahead of Upcoming IEM Sydney

Canadian esports athlete, known as Twistzz, doesn’t hold back in expressing his discontent with the current state of CS2. He shared his belief that the game isn’t yet ready for the esports scene, especially with IEM Sydney just two weeks away.

Twistzz voiced dissatisfaction with many aspects of the game, noting that they appear unstable. According to him, issues with movement and spray in the game are prominent, and he frequently faces the problem of peeking players which persists regardless of ping. In particular, he pointed out instances where a player adeptly uses smoke for cover, yet still gets spotted by opponents.

The initial color of the smoke in some areas also raises questions. He clarified that this can be tested using insta-smoke in the Mirage map’s window.

Twistzz emphasized the importance of discussing game issues, stating that it’s the quickest way to improve CS2. He urged the community to maintain optimism and continue working on enhancing the game.

Takeaways

Such open discussion of problems and shortcomings of CS2 from professional players like Twistzz will aid developers in refining the game and prepping it for upcoming esports competitions. It once again underscores how crucial it is for the community to be an active participant in the game’s development process, sharing feedback, and aiming for improvement.
