The gaming industry successfully competes even with Hollywood. Therefore, many directors and eminent film studios are considering the possibility of creating new films to reach the gaming audience. For this, plots from popular games are taken and adapted by screenwriters into films. True, it is far from always possible to recreate the same atmosphere inherent in popular games.

In the past decade, director Uwe Boll has often disappointed game fans with his slurred writing. But that era has passed, and gamers have a chance to watch movie adaptations of popular gaming franchises. 2022 (???)	The Division movie	Nine Stories Productions	Screen adaptation of The Division with Jake Gyllenhaal and Jessica Chastain. The release is scheduled for 2022, but a change in director and team could push the long-term project even further.
2022 (???)	Minecraft	Warner Bros.	The film about the cubic universe was supposed to hit the big screens in March 2022, but for unknown reasons, the release was delayed.
